OPC holds sensitization workshop on procurement and disposal of public assets for City of Masvingo and Masvingo RDC
The Office of the President held a sensitization workshop on procurement and public assets disposal to promote transparency and accountability in public procurement processes.
The workshops aimed at educating participants on the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, which provides for the efficient and effective procurement and disposal of public assets.
The workshops cover topics such as contract management, procurement planning, and disposal of public assets.
Speaking during the one-day workshop, Chief Director (Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets) in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Dr Michael Mutsanzikwa said the goal is to ensure that public officials and stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities in the procurement process and can carry out their duties effectively

4. Avoid touching or eating animals that may carry the virus.
5. Avoid travelling to countries where the outbreak has been reported.

Council installs 60 solar – powered streetlights in Rhodhene and Eastvale as a pilot project
The City of Masvingo has finalized a pilot project introducing solar-powered lighting along Carry Street in Rhodhene and Shakashe Drive in Eastvale.
The initiative underscores Council’s dedication to sustainability, energy efficiency and urban beautification.
The project aims to amplify the City’s aethetic allure while promoting eco – friendly solutions. Council plans rigorous monitoring to assess the project’s environmental, economic and social impacts, with aspirations to expand such innovation across the city’s public spaces, facilities and landmarks.
Looking ahead, Council envisions diversifying solar – powered lighting, aiming to enrich the city’s visual appeal, enhance societal well – being and elevate the overall quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
The projects aim to complete 5 km by year end.
