Participatory budget consultation meetings in Masvingo (Ward 9 and 10)

City of Masvingo is currently conducting budget consultations in the 10 wards of the city.

The premise of this important program is that sustainable local development is a function of effective economic budgeting, fair broad – based charges / rates, stakeholder participation and accountability.

The 2025 budgeting process is a departure from traditional budget consultations that Council held only physicaly.

The new 2025 hybrid budgeting consultations are part of a robust set of interventions which seek to strengthen budget systems and financial management in Council.

Stakeholder involvement has ensured that the consultations are extensive, structured, focused and monitored
