City of Masvingo invests in occupational health and safety for improved employee Wellbeing
Council has since the introduction of wellness Wednesday prioritizing employee health and wellness for the purposes of improved productivity and service delivery.
Employee health and wellness is an imperative factor in service delivery as it helps ensure that employees stay focused and are more productive, which harnesses the quality of performance output.
Employee health and wellness also help maintain sustainable levels of employee engagement in executing duties. Council quality statement emphasizes on innovative delivery of improved quality services. In order to fulfill this commitment employee are required to be well physician, mentally and socially.
The following is achieved when corporate health and wellness is intensified
1. Reduced healthcare and costs
2. Decreased rate of illness and injury
3. Achieved company objectives
4. Improved employee morale
5. Increased production

City of Masvingo Mayor hosts visitors from Germany City of Masvingo Mayor hosts visitors from Germany
Today, City of Masvingo received visitors from Germany celebrating 40 years of the twinning arrangement between Kernen City of Germany and City of Masvingo.
The arrangement saw the coming up of craft centre, upgrading of Batanai Old People’s Home, Alpha Cottages Children Home, Kernen Park, Runyararo Clinic, and donation of ambulances among other developments.
The event was attended by His Worship, the Mayor Cllr Aleck Tabe, Deputy Mayor, Cllr Daniel Mberikunashe, councillos, Masvingo Kernen Association and Council management.
The team also had an excursion to all Council facilities they funded.
