SEWAGE WORKS SHIFT SUPERVISOR – GRADE 10 ( 1 POST) (RE-ADVERT)
Job Title : Sewage Works Shift Supervisor
Grade : 10
Reporting To : Deputy Waste Water Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Interested candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:
- At least 5 ‘O’ levels including English language
- Higher National Diploma in Water and Wastewater Management or equivalent
- 3 years or more experience in the Water or Wastewater treatment fields on supervisory
capacity. - A mature attitude towards work.
- The ability to work with minimum supervision
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties; - Supervision of Biological Nutrient Plant Operators, Plant Attendants, Handymen and
General Hands at Wastewater Treatment Plants, Raw Sewage Pump Stations and Grit
Channels. - Monitoring quality of raw sewage and treated wastewater and all other treatment
processes. - Manning of wastewater treatment units.
10 - Carry out laboratory tests to determine characteristics of the raw sewage and efficiency
of the wastewater treatment plants. - Carry out preventive maintenance and repair of pumps, equipment and other
wastewater treatment units. - Drafting duty rosters for shift workers.
- Routine compilation of operational records like wastewater statistics, daily and monthly
time sheets. - Safe keeping of works equipment in the storerooms.
- Any other duties assigned by Deputy Waste Water Superintendent
