WORKSHOP CLERK – GRADE 5 [1 POST] (Re-advertisement)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment to the post of Workshop Clerk in the Engineering Services Department Workshop Section.

Report To: Workshop Superintendent
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 5 ‘O’ Levels including English Language
Certificate in Supply Chain/ Logistics / Procurement Management.
National Diploma in Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Procurement Management or equivalent
National Diploma in Stores Management
Clean Class four (4) Driver’ s License
At least three (2) years hands on experience in a Workshop Environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining daily stock register of new incoming spare parts.
Maintain stock register of old/used spare parts and return same to the Municipal Stores for disposal.
Carrying out monthly stock take in the Municipal Workshop.
Issuing spare parts to Artisans and maintaining issuance register.
Opening job cards and capturing information into a well-maintained database.
Completion of vehicle checklist forms for vehicles coming into the Workshop.
Assisting PMU in the purchase of spare parts.
Recording of equipment and material used
Updating and recording Daily log sheets
Ensuring the workshop area is clean
Assisting mechanics with tools and equipment to use
Any other duties as assigned by the Workshop Foreman
