Water Supply Update : 30/04/24

The City of Masvingo would like to notify residents and ratepayers that we have incurred a mainline burst pipe along Mucheke river hence there will be no water supply in the CBD, Clovely, Zimre Park, Rhodene, Barracks, Eastvale, Westview, Industries and neighboring areas today and tomorrow.

Our Engineers are working flat out to ensure supply is restored.

Mucheke Trunk Sewer

Masvingo City Council, will soon embark on a ZWL 9 million extensive sewer overhaul program.

The project comprises construction of a 7 km trunk gravity pipeline to convey sewer from the high density suburbs of the city and also from Victoria Range.

The construction of the Mucheke Trunk Sewer which commenced in 2011 and was suspended in 2015 when funding ran out is set to improve on the current situation and ease on sewer blockages.

To date, council has procured the balance of piping required and is set to continue with the first phase.
