Masvingo City Council steps up to maintain quality water supply

MASVINGO City Council steps up its commitment to maintain the supply of quality water despite the grappling economic conditions. The Councils engineering department responsible for water treatment at the Bushmed Water treatment plant is maintaining an adequate stock level of water treatment chemicals for quality water supply. The City Mayor Advocate C Maboke, Town Clerk Engineer E Mukaratirwa, Councillors, Management and members of the media fraternity on Friday 17 January 2020 visited the water treatment plant on an organised media tour to ensure that journalists get a ‘clearer’ appreciation of the operations there.

We are also going to further strengthen our water quality monitoring systems by introducing periodic monitoring visits to the water works by our policy makers,” said Maboke.
