City of Masvingo today joined the nation in the National Clean-Up Campaign held at Masvingo Provincial Heroes Acre, reinforcing commitment to environmental sustainability and promotion of a clean, healthy and dignified environment.
The clean-up exercise brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including Government ministries and departments, the business community, schools, civic organizations and members of the public. The collaborative initiative demonstrated the importance of collective action in maintaining clean public spaces while honoring the nation’s heroes.
Participants cleaned the Provincial Heroes Acre and its surrounding environment, promoting the values of environmental stewardship and civic responsibility. The campaign also served as a reminder that maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires the participation of every citizen and institution.
Council encourages residents to continue embracing proper waste management practices and to actively participate in future clean-up initiatives as the city works towards a cleaner, greener and healthier Masvingo.
