Job Title : Sewage Works Shift Supervisor
Grade : 10
Reporting To : Deputy Waste Water Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Interested candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

• At least 5 ‘O’ levels including English language
• Higher National Diploma in Water and Wastewater Management or equivalent
• 3 years or more experience in the Water or Wastewater treatment fields on supervisory
  capacity.
• A mature attitude towards work.
• The ability to work with minimum supervision
  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties;
• Supervision of Biological Nutrient Plant Operators, Plant Attendants, Handymen and
  General Hands at Wastewater Treatment Plants, Raw Sewage Pump Stations and Grit
  Channels.
• Monitoring quality of raw sewage and treated wastewater and all other treatment
  processes.
• Manning of wastewater treatment units.

• Carry out laboratory tests to determine characteristics of the raw sewage and efficiency
  of the wastewater treatment plants.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repair of pumps, equipment and other
  wastewater treatment units.
• Drafting duty rosters for shift workers.
• Routine compilation of operational records like wastewater statistics, daily and monthly
  time sheets.
• Safe keeping of works equipment in the storerooms.
• Any other duties assigned by Deputy Waste Water Superintendent
