City of Masvingo joins Provincial Clean-Up Campaign to promote environmental sustainability

The City of Masvingo joined stakeholders from across the province in a Provincial Clean-Up Campaign held at the bus rank opposite Glow Fuel Station, in support of the First Lady, Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa’s national clean up drive.
The clean-up exercise was graced by the wife to Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo Province, Mrs Chadzamira, who was the Guest of Honour.
In her remarks, Mrs Chadzamira commended residents, local authorities, businesses, schools and stakeholders for actively participating in efforts to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
Leading by example, City of Masvingo councillors, female members of management, and staff members took part in the clean-up exercise alongside other stakeholders. The event demonstrated the City’s dedication to promoting environmental stewardship and supporting the national vision of clean, safe, and sustainable communities.
Speaking during the event, City of Masvingo representatives emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in solid waste management.
They encouraged residents and businesses to adopt proper waste disposal practices and participate in regular clean-up initiatives to keep the city clean.
Through such initiatives, City of Masvingo continues to foster partnerships with government departments, community groups, and the private sector in creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
