Construction Project Update

The City of Masvingo is pleased to provide an update on ongoing construction projects aimed at enhancing service delivery and infrastructure development:

1. Runyararo Clinic Maternity Ward Construction

– Status: 95% physical completion

– Current work: Roofing underway

– Expected handover: Within the next month

2. Truck Stop Offices and Ablution Block

– Status: 70% complete

– Foundations and walling done; roofing stage

– Purpose: To improve amenities for long-distance truck drivers and promote road safety

3. Community Swimming Pool

– Status: 60% complete

– Pool shell complete

– Benefit: Promoting recreation and youth engagement

4. Drain Lining and re-gravelling in Residential Areas

– Status: Ongoing in phases

– Areas covered: Ward 5 and Ward 7 completed

– Objective: To improve stormwater management and reduce flooding risks
