Minister officially opens Chesvingo Safe Market
The Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Hon Monica Mutsvangwa this week officially opened Chesvingo Safe Market, amid pomp and fanfare.
The Safe Market which houses 80 traders was constructed in a tripartite partnership of City of Masvingo, International Labor Organization and Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
Officially opening the Safe Market, Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Hon Monica Mutsvangwa commended City of Masvingo for being the only local authority in the country which has managed to attract and lure partners to the city for projects which benefit residents.
Newly officially opened market has Sheds, one stop GBV centre – Msasa project, Zimbabwe Republic Police post, early childhood development centre and ablution facility backed by a solar powered borehole.
The event was graced by the Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ho Ezra Chadzamira, Masvingo City Councillors, government officials, stakeholders, residents and beneficiaries
