Shot in the arm of Rujeko Isolation Centre

In a development that is set to positively impact on the city’s health service delivery system, Masvingo Provincial COVID – 19 Taskforce chaired by Provincial Affairs Minister, Ezra Chadzamira has today toured Rujeko Isolation Centre to assess the standards set by World Health Organisation, and also donated building material worthy $ 100 000 towards the renovations of the facility.

Minister Chadzamira commended the City Fathers for responding to the government’s clarion call in assisting the nation in the fight against COVID – 19.

‘I would like to commend the City Fathers for heeding this call and it is all hands on deck as it has made commendable strides in ensuring the city has an Isolation Facility not to mention the efforts so far to renovate’, he commended.

N. Richards & Co donated the consignment and handed over to the Provincial Minister, Ezra Chadzamira.

City of Masvingo, Acting Town Clerk, Engineer Edward Mukaratirwa went on to commend the level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the business community in the fight against COVID – 19.

‘The donations from N. Richards & Co are well appreciated. Their contribution will go a long way in ensuring that the Isolation Centre is fully prepared to deal with any positive COVID – 19 patient who might be admitted at the facility. This level of corporate social responsibility must be emulated by other businesses operating in the city, province and the nation at large’, said.

The Rujeko Isolation Centre has a carrying capacity of 10 patients.
